Engineering firms with DBE certification face new uncertainty as a recent regulatory action by USDOT removes race and gender as presumptions of disadvantage. This session will feature a working conversation with ACEC’s advocacy team, exploring next steps in developing recommendations for USDOT to minimize the impact on DBE firms as they pursue recertification under a new program.

The session will also offer an opportunity for members to share their perspective and ideas. It will be important for ACEC to act quickly to put forward recommendations to ease the transition, as well as long-term actions to educate firms going forward.
