2025 YOUNG PROFESSIONAL AWARD
While pursuing his Electrical Engineering degree, Chris distinguished himself both academically and through extracurricular involvement. He became the youngest president to ever lead his college’s Baja Racing Team, served in the Senior Honor Society as a mentor and STEM outreach spokesperson, and competed on Boise State’s Rugby Team.
Chris began his career at Kiewit in the Power Generation Department, where his ability to foster strong relationships and deliver results on time and under budget quickly set him apart. These strengths led him to support the management of one-billion-dollar EPC projects as an Engineering Manager early in his career.
Seeking new challenges, Chris joined HDR and relocated to Rapid City, South Dakota, to establish a Power Delivery team. Within 18 months, he built a group of four engineers and two drafters, while also serving as both Project Manager and Client Development Manager.
Across every stage of his career Chris has demonstrated leadership, professional excellence, and dedication to his community, earning recognition from the Rapid City Chamber of Commerce as the region’s top professionals under 40.
