Eric Ouellet

Project Director
SIMCO Technologies inc.

Since 1997 and up until 2004, Eric Ouellet served as a Project Manager on various projects related to concrete mix designs, concrete inspections, and repair recommendations. From 2004 to 2017, he held the roles of Chief of Operations, Chief Technical Officer, and Product Manager. During this time, he developed significant expertise in the inspection and characterization of damaged concrete structures.

In construction projects, his comprehensive knowledge of concrete materials provides valuable technical expertise for troubleshooting problematic situations and assessing their impact on concrete serviceability.

Since 2017, he has supervised work related to the preparation of technical specifications, the development of maintenance and repair procedures, the formulation and optimization of durable concrete mixtures, and the oversight of construction or repair work. He has also developed extensive knowledge in service-life predictive analyses of concrete structures, including aspects of durability, failure analysis, premature deterioration of concrete infrastructure, and their impacts on asset management.

Concrete Infrastructure Reimagined: Advanced Strategies for Extended Service Life

Featuring Eric Ouellet, Nicolas Tiburzi at 10:15 AM on Tuesday, October 7th.

Aimed at owners, engineers and contractors, this presentation introduces a scientifically grounded approach to extending the service life of concrete infrastructure by analyzing key degradation mechanisms like corrosion and alkali-silica reaction. It showcases advanced modeling techniques and SIMCO’s analytical tools to optimize repair strategies for both new and existing structures. Attendees will discover innovative methods…
