Janie Tiedeman, PE, is Senior Vice President of RS&H’s East Region Infrastructure Practice, where she provides strategic leadership for growth, operations, and project delivery across a multidisciplinary team serving the eastern United States. Over the course of her career, she has built broad expertise spanning highway, bridge, tolling, transit, ports, and aviation projects throughout the United States. Her career began in structural engineering and expanded into executive leadership roles across marketing, project development, and operations, giving her a comprehensive perspective on advancing complex infrastructure initiatives. Janie is an active leader within the industry, serving on boards and committees focused on fostering inclusion, belonging, and transportation equity. She has served as Chair of ACEC’s National Member Engagement and Belonging Committee, Chair of RS&H’s Women’s ERG, which was awarded a WTS Rosa Parks Diversity Award, an ACEC/MD Director, and a Director of the WTS International Foundation Board.

Janie holds a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland. She is a lifelong resident of Baltimore, Maryland.
