Masai Lawson is the Director of Talent Acquisition & Inclusion at GFT, where she leads enterprise talent strategy in support of the firm’s growth across the built environment.

With more than a decade of experience aligning talent acquisition with business objectives, Masai specializes in building high-impact recruiting strategies, and positioning organizations to compete for top talent. Her work sits at the intersection of talent, business performance, and long-term growth—ensuring that workforce strategy is directly connected to project delivery and client success.

In addition to leading talent acquisition, Masai has played a key role in advancing GFT’s approach to inclusion and culture, helping shape initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

Masai is an active leader within the industry, serving as Co-Chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Steering Committee. She also serves in an advisory capacity to the United States Society on Dams (USSD) Board of Directors, contributing to strategic conversations around inclusion, workforce development, industry engagement, and the future of infrastructure talent.

Her work across industry and nonprofit organizations reflects a broader commitment to strengthening the AEC workforce, expanding access to opportunity, and shaping the next generation of industry leaders.
